The District 3 girls cross country championships provided plenty of drama and excitement, some of it expected and some of it not as much.

The Thundering Herd won the district title with 140 points. Wilson (163), Governor Mifflin (169) and Chambersburg (172) will also be making the trip to states.

Clahane conquered cold, wet and windy conditions to win in 18:52, ahead of Wilson's Alison Willingmyre (19:10) and Chambersburg's Abby Yourkavitch (19:17).
