Immaculata, Pa. - (5/6/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University finished in third place at the Atlantic East Conference (SEC) Men's Track and Field Championships thanks to 26 points from junior Branden Soubik (Lansdale, Pa.). The Griffins' sprinter finished first (1st, 22.28, 10 points) in the 200-Meter, second (2nd, 11.19, 8 points) in the 100-Meter, and second (2nd, 50.87, 8 points) in the 400-Meter races. Additional Gwynedd Mercy University points were provided by freshman Radelson Smith (Levittown, Pa.) (Long Jump; 6th, 5.12, 1 point/100-Meter: 4th, 11.7, 4 points), junior Melvin Mathew (North Wales, Pa.) (400-Meter Hurdles: 5th, 1:06.95, 2 points), and the 4x400-Meter Relay (Smith, Balla, Aldarwich, Soubik; 4th, 3:42.95, 4 points).
