Women s Cross Country: Titans Place Sixth at PAC Championship

BETHANY, W.Va. - The Westminster College women's cross country team placed sixth with 152 points at the 2014 PAC Championship on Saturday. The conference's 31st annual cross country championship was hosted by Bethany College.

Titan senior Jenny Jones (Erie, PA / Fort LeBoeuf) finished first for Westminster with a 10th-place time of 24:20.8 for her fourth-straight All-PAC Second Team honor.

First-year Katelynn Morrell (Boardman, OH / Boardman) finished next for the Titans with a 25th-place time of 25:09.3. First-year Paige Baierl (Bellevue, PA / Northgate) (25:33.7), sophomore Jenny Rodgers (State College, PA / State College) (27:01.3), and first-year Kristen Polk (Allison Park, PA) (27:43.7) rounded out the top-5 Titan finishers.

Grove City College finished first with 29 points. Waynesburg University was second (37 pts.), Saint Vincent College third (134), Thiel College fourth (136), and Geneva College fifth (137). Thomas More College was seventh (170), Bethany eighth (173), Chatham University ninth (268) and Washington & Jefferson College 10th (272). Grove City junior Emily Rabenold earned the event's individual title after posting a time of 22:38.40.

Westminster will next compete at the NCAA Mid-East Regional in Bethlehem, Pa. on Saturday, Nov. 15.
