Men s Indoor Track & Field: Titans Picked to Finish First in the PAC

GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released the results of its 2014-15 Men's Indoor Track and Field Preseason Coaches' Poll Thursday and Westminster College was picked by the league's head coaches to capture the conference's first-ever championship.

Westminster and eighth-year head coach Tim McNeil collected four first-place votes and 75 total points to headline the coaches' poll. Unofficial conference championship events were held in 2013 and 2014. The Titans claimed the 2014 unofficial indoor title after posting a sixth-place finish at the 2013 event.



The Titans who were labeled 'To Watch For' were junior pole vaulter Andrew Brannen (Pittsburgh, Pa./Peters Twp.), junior sprinter Jake Dindak (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), junior Nick Fiorentino (Franklin, Pa./Franklin), and junior sprinter Anthony Yasko (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood).

Grove City College finished second with four first-place votes and 69 points. Waynesburg University collected the final first-place vote and 60 points to finish third on the poll. Bethany College finished fourth with 60 points, followed by Saint Vincent College in fifth (35 pts.), Thiel College in sixth (32 pts.), Thomas More College in seventh (31 pts.), Geneva College in eighth (30 pts.) and Washington & Jefferson College in ninth (16 pts.).

This year's championship is scheduled for Thursday, February 26 at Youngstown State University's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS).

Westminster will start its season on Friday when it competes in the Youngstown State University Icebreaker.
